Is This The Normal Life?

Is this the Life of a Normal Mom? is the title of my blog and a question I all to often find myself wondering some days...

I work from home most days of the week, except for the occasional outside meeting or when I work nights. It sounds like the ideal job, and it really could be...if there was more of me to go around!

I took on learning a new skill this past year, internet marketing. It required me to dabble in a lot of things...ad words advertising, keywords, SEO, website design, database management, CRM, HTML, etc. I've found it interesting, although it has been a huge learning curve for me to climb...I like a challenge! But it seems as I make this climb, I also have to pull along with me... taking care of a beautiful little girl, finding babysitters/daycare, making meals (now that require NO tomato products - agh!), managing the everyday tasks of being a homeowner, launching a new product, and bringing in a paycheck.

Most of the time I think I have things in order, but when I have a deadline looming, and a child that thinks 1 nap a day is plenty, the stress gets high. I balance as best I can entertaining L and getting my work done. But when L spends a day throwing tantrums, whining, and getting into everything she possibly can, I can feel very inadequate in everything I'm doing. But at the end of the day when she clumsily climbs in my lap to give me a kiss and rest her head on my chest, I know I'm doing okay.
