nnn dat - what's that

Toddlers' Imagination
I love watching L and her little imagination work! Right now she's into hiding and having us find her. She usually hides in the same 3 spots - behind the couch, in the front entry in the corner by the bench, or behind the vertical blinds (with her toes sticking out of course!)
I still find it cute that she'll cover her eyes with her hands and thinks she's invisible. We play along with it and say "where's L? L?..." Last week she took the game to a new level.
L loves to get into stuff she's not supposed to, so Justin was standing in the hall way blocking L from getting through into a pile of my papers. She tried going through his legs, around them, etc. finally her solution was cover her eyes (cause she's invisible then - right!?) She covers her eyes and walks right through his legs...ah L! Always keep you eye on the prize!

Hands Free Pump Bra
Well the new company is launched and we had two bras sold within the first 24 hours! It's been an exciting road developing this product and finally getting it to market.
Last week we taped the demonstration video and got it up on you tube and the website. We're already getting some views, so that's always positive. I'm planning out a series of entertaining videos on the uses for the hands free bra so stay tuned!
Time to get the word out.

Potty Training Begins!
Well as life ramps up, you begin to juggle more balls (and drop more it seems). I guess blogging is one of those balls that keeps hitting the floor, but with a New Year comes new attempts!
Our newest attempt is potty training! For the past two months L has been saying "boop" this refers to everything potty related - wipes, diapers, poop, potty, potty chair, toilet paper, etc. At 15 months I was thinking this was a little early for beginning to potty train, but L got her potty chair for Christmas along with the Elmo's Potty Time DVD (I'm thinking Elmo is the main influence here!) So we put the chair in the bathroom and decided to just leave it there until she was interested.
Well with the help of Elmo she was curious, so beginning this week every morning after breakfast we go sit down on the potty chair and practice. She has a bucket of books next to her toilet to read if she wants to sit awhile. Sometimes I think she says "boop" to go in and practice, just so she can read those books!
In any regard, we've had success! We've already gone 4 times in the potty! It's so fun to watch her celebrate the simple things in life. After much cheering she hops off checks the little bowl and then is quick to "help" me dump it in the toilet, flush, and put down the lid (she loves routine!)
I wouldn't say we're anywhere near getting potty trained but she has fun with it and I can't wait not to have to change diapers :-)
